Requirements
Below are the system requirements for your forum to operate properly with Threadloom:
- vBulletin 3.8.x, 4.2.x; or XenForo 1.5.5, 2.0.x, 2.1.x, 2.2.x
- TLS 1.0, 1.1, or 1.2, with a valid CA SSL certificate.
- To confirm, run "curl -v https://search.threadloom.com/" to confirm you can connect via TLS.
- If your forum is on Windows, you need a trusted CA root certificate file for curl. You can get a free certificate via LetsEncrypt.org. Alternatively, you can follow the instructions here.
- We do not support SSLv2 or SSLv3.
- PHP 5.3 or higher.
- curl enabled.
- Firewall allows outgoing traffic.
- The plug-in communicates with threadloom.com and azurewebsites.net on port 443 (HTTPS).
- On vBulletin, scheduled tasks are enabled.
- {vb:raw cronimage} must be enabled in the footer template. (This is the default setting.)
Warnings
In addition, please note:
- If you are using FastCGI:
- You may need to modify your timeouts. We will contact you if we think this is the case. (Note: Some hosts, e.g., GoDaddy's shared hosting plans, do not permit modifying FastCGI settings.)
- If you maintain mirrored test servers:
- Either disable the plug-in on your test servers per this article, or send us the IP address of your primary server so we can ensure that your index synchronizes only with that instance.
- If you are using a custom-designed search box with special operators:
- Threadloom takes over native search boxes. Custom search boxes with extra controls (e.g., show thread vs. post) may not work. Threadloom ignores anything that is not entered into the actual search box itself.
